About Rivka

Harpist & Musician:

Performer, Teacher and Music Therapist


Juilliard graduate Rivka Gottlieb is a versatile, multi-talented international harpist, Music Therapist and teacher, currently based in London.

She has performed solo and in chamber and orchestral ensembles in many varied and prestigious venues, including, in:

New York at Lincoln Centre (Avery Fisher Hall & Alice Tully Hall), Carnegie Hall;

London at The Wigmore Hall, The Foreign Office, Leighton House, The Hackney Empire, Wembley, The Foreign Press Association, The Royal Hospital Chelsea (in the presence of HRH The Duchess of Kent), The Royal Overseas League, Burgh House;

the UK at Forde Abbey, Dorset; The Theatre Royal, Plymouth;

Los Angeles at Royce Hall (UCLA); and many other venues.

Since 1994, Rivka has also worked as a studio recording artist for film and television soundtracks. Work includes sessions for Bilous/DiBucci Music in New York on television commercials and independent films including Journey Within a Journey (1995) and more recently A Life in Poetry for BBC 2 (2009) and The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister also for BBC 2 (2010), music by Avshalom Caspi.

Corporate clients have included: The Bank of New York, Binney & Smith, Loeb & Loeb, Johns Hopkins University, Conde Nast and many others.

Rivka trained at The Royal College of Music, The Juilliard School in New York, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree, and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama for post-graduate studies. Her harp teachers have included Marisa Robles, Nancy Allen, Sidonie Goossens and Marie Goossens.
